| Editorial Reviews: Product Description SanDisk is proud to announce our newest format to the SD memory card family: Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) available in 4GB and 8GB capacities. Memory card is rated Class 2 for speed and performance based on SD 2.0 specifications. The SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, that follows the SD 2.00 specifications. The SDHC card has a security feature for protection of copyrighted data. What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Customer Reviews: Read 52 more reviews... just right March 16, 2009Paul (uk) purchased this for my camera works perfect transfers data pretty quick to my computer to nothing bad to say about it arrived in 2days Just the job March 12, 2009R. Lobb (London UK) Little to say - it did exactly as advertised - 8 gigs of memory - worked in all my digital equipment easily and flawlessly - Very cheap to buy - Highly recommended. OK card but no case - how silly! March 10, 2009David Bradshaw (London) The cards seems to work fine in the JVC camcorder I bought at the same time. Also I have no complaint about the price, its the same for 8GB as it was not long ago for 4GB. But it came without any case. As I plan to retain my shots on the cards, treating them as 'digital film' for backup, this is a problem. It's hard if not impossible to write on the cards themselves, so I have to write the dates the card spans on the case - which I can't because there isn't one. Don't the card manufacturers get it? If people always re-use the cards, they'll sell 1-2 cards per camera or camcorder. If people keep their pix and shots on the card, the manufacturers will sell tens or hundreds of cards per camera. DUH! All they need to do is make it easier for customer to label and store the cards - instead they've made it harder. PS If anyone has a neat solution to keeping these cards safely and labeled with the dates they were used, I'd really appreciate it if they could add a comment. SDHC SanDisk March 9, 2009C. Wood (Lake District) I purchased 2 of these cards as looked a great price for the amount of data storage, arrived promptly. However I did expect them to work on a digital camera, we tried the 3 cameras in our house but they don't work on any, so a waste of money, and could not return as had taken out of packaging. I am still not sure what the SDNC stands for but watch out if you are looking at these for digital cameras as they didn't work for us. good value product March 4, 2009Mr. Kevin J. Griggs (UK) This item is on sale in Currys electrical for 35 last time i looked. I got it for less than 12 all in and recieved it within 3 days. And i have no problem with it, tested and working. | |||||
