The V-tec stood out in front when I was looking for a walker. When it was delivered (very quickly) from Amazon, I was absolutly delighted with the V-tec.I found it very sturdy and so colourful, not to mention the front panel packed with things to do (which comes off) so baby can play on the floor with. The main thing is baby LOVES IT!!!

The product is excellent, a bit fast for the baby when bought, but now she is coping with the speed. I have suggested VTech to include some form of brake to adjust with the stages of babies learning process to walk. The activity centre is rich enough to keep the baby busy. The detachable unit helps to use it elsewhere other than just as a walker.

As an iPod music player the iPod Touch is fantastic. As a photo browser it's great. As a video player it is, screen size limitation aside, incredible. And as a game platform it is super fun! Throw in PDA capabilities and WiFi connectivity and you've got a major winner.

Great looking MP3 or perhaps should I say mini computer? Easy to use, touch is very response. The only downer is the battery life which drains quickly if you use all the functions. But I guess nothing can be perfect!

I have always been a Sony media player person and for a while I have been tempted to try an iPod. I kept checking out the iTouch and when I did go for this it was of course the 2nd Generation.

I have to say I am very impressed with its build quality and its features. There are also a surprising amount of free Apps you can download from iTunes direct to the iTouch and I have quite a few. I did buy a slim leather case to help protect it and its a shame it does not come with one but all the same it is such an amazing device.

Easy to configure to a Wi-Fi network to browse the web. I'm still finding out things it can do each week and would have to say its the best thing on the market if you want a music/video/internet device then this is it as you won't be dissapointed.

The new iPod Touch is indeed a lovely gadget but, if your internet comes through a Livebox then prepare to be frustrated trying to connect using your new toy. Of course, you don't really need to use your iPod for internet at home and it will probably pick up other people's wifi perfectly well when you're out and about, as long as they aren't using a Livebox. Just google Livebox and iPod Touch to see that many, many people are experiencing problems with this combination.

The only other niggle I have is that the inbuilt speaker is really lousy, almost inaudible.

Apart from that, it's a lovely thing and I will be passing on my dearly loved old nano to a friend as this has taken its place in my heart, especially as it can shuffle within playlists, which I always wished my nano could do.

I've owned hovers (which just sink as the grass box gets full), cylinders (can't cope with wet and/or long grass) and rotaries (Flymos and this one) - and this one scores TOTALLY full marks. I've had no problems with wet grass at all (I've even used it in light rain!), the full width cut reduces the time it takes me to mow the lawn - and it's most important feature which I have found - is the grass box has a very large entrance, so it does not clog up. I will certainly never buy another Flymo (of any design) ever again after having this mower - its design, put simply, works! - which means I can cut my lawn quicker, and therefore sit down with a glass of wine sooner!

I couldn't believe what a nice cut this lawnmower delivers. But be prepared for the huuuuge amount of grass clippings you will have to cope with. This is the price to pay for an excellent cut, but it came as a shock to me the first time I used it!

I was initially very pleased with this item. It was easy to set up out of the box and the grass collection box was extremely good at picking up the cuttings. The lawn had a neat finish.

However, after only using it on 3 occasions, the motor packed up. On reading these reviews, I suspect there may be a design fault allowing grass cuttings to get into the mechanics somehow. I got a full refund and have settled with a Flymo.

I purchased the mower in August. It is not only the best mower I have ever used, but is also excellent value for money. Not only does it cut the grass when wet; when most mowers would struggle, it cuts so even and and leaves the lawn looking well manicured with stripes. The edge cutting ability is superb. Overall rating excellent!

Great Lawnmower.
Very powerful for its size.
Easy to assemble.
Really light to carry about.
Quite compact for storage.
Nice even cut with great stripes from the in-built roller.
This mower gets around my lawn (about half a tennis court) in less than half the time of my old hover mower.

I would recommend the BT 150 to anyone who has a baby. We have 3 children, all with a monitor and they work perfectly, very clear with no interference. The most useful feature is the temperature gauge as this allows you to monitor the temperature in the babies room at all times, this is very reassuring for people with newly born babies.

We've used two other baby monitors - one motion sensor, one video. Personally, I prefer this one.

We can leave it on all the time. No fumbling in the dark to turn it off so that the motion sensor doesn't alarm; no less-than-stellar image to decrypt. Minimal light leakage within the room. Parent unit has a simple visual reference indicating the baby's sound level, and amazingly, an option to turn off the sound entirely (and I liked that an alarm sounds if you've turned off the sound but the baby gets to a certain volume in case you've forgotten). Parent unit also has a handy torch to keep from stumbling over toys in the dark, and a vibrating option for members of the household with less-than-perfect hearing.

If there had been an option for 4.5 stars, it would have been because of the belt clip. My husband sat down with the monitor attached to his belt, and the plastic bent and can't be bent back. It would have been nice if it hadn't been so sensitive. Still, a minor issue for what is generally a great product.

Great monitor, sound is crystal clear. None of the connection problems reported by others. Intergrated nightlight and lullabies are great features. Talk back is also a great feature, not so much for talking to baby but means I can have a conversation with my wife while one of us sees to the baby without one or other of us running up and down the stairs or shouting from one end of the house to the other. Recommend.

Fantastic monitors, have loads of features, eg. talk back facility which i found great to reassure my daughter when settling to sleep or wakening up crying, without having to go in to the room to distract her.Also being able to control lullaby music from the parent unit starting and stopping when required is handy.These are just some of the useful features and there are many more, best buy yet, i can highly recommend, no problems or faults to report.

This is the best monitor I have used. We have had several at the nursery I run and this has topped them all. It has clear sound, tells us when the rooms are too hot and has a two way intercom. It also has tunes to play while children are sleeping. Worth paying the extra money.

This product is so simple even those scared of PCs can use it! I bought it for a family member to transfer photos from a camera on to a memory card to show via a digital photo frame. Lesson over in 2 minutes! Instantly recognised by the PC and frankly idiot proof. Get one - its a bargain!

This is a handy item to carry with you on your key chain. For the capacity it's really good value for money. The slider is surprisingly rigid but I still feel apprehensive when slotting it into a tight usb slot as I keep thinking the slider will give way and push back in. I didn't find the U3 stuff that appealing so removed it with the U3Uninstall software from the U3 website.

Apart from the less than convincing slider mechanism, can't fault this.

Design is good with the retractible usb plug, and after some "faffing about" it finally works as a normal flash drive. However, I wonder if the U3 element is really worth the bother. If you want just the basic storage, I would look at a robust model like the Corsair range.

I have flash drive of all sizes. I would not hestitate to recommend to anyone looking for reliablity on all platforms to look no further than this product as it represents a middle of the road for capacity, not too small and not too big, so if you intend to use this for transfering files between computers ie XP to Vista and visa versa, as computers today are not including the 3.5 drive. I uploaded all my old floppy discs so I can review and edit with no effort at all

Can't fault this 16GB penstick. Fast enough with a large capacity for not much money, plus it's branded.
Had no use for the U3 software so disabled automatic loading (press and hold shift key while inserting penstick) then just ran the U3 uninstaller from the U3 website, no problems. Also, this freed up the 1.2GB that was "missing" from the capacity.
Definitely recommended - five stars.

An excellent peice of kit, which does exactly what it says it will, and priced well below the competition, after a few hours exhaustive checking I came to the firm conclusion that there is no bigger or better bang for your buck (pound) than this. If I had to name a niggle, and it is a very slight one only, it is a little on the slow side; but then again so have all of the other flash drives that I've had been as well. So..Pay your money and take your choice!!

The cards seems to work fine in the JVC camcorder I bought at the same time. Also I have no complaint about the price, its the same for 8GB as it was not long ago for 4GB.

But it came without any case. As I plan to retain my shots on the cards, treating them as 'digital film' for backup, this is a problem. It's hard if not impossible to write on the cards themselves, so I have to write the dates the card spans on the case - which I can't because there isn't one.

Don't the card manufacturers get it? If people always re-use the cards, they'll sell 1-2 cards per camera or camcorder. If people keep their pix and shots on the card, the manufacturers will sell tens or hundreds of cards per camera. DUH! All they need to do is make it easier for customer to label and store the cards - instead they've made it harder.

PS If anyone has a neat solution to keeping these cards safely and labeled with the dates they were used, I'd really appreciate it if they could add a comment.

I purchased 2 of these cards as looked a great price for the amount of data storage, arrived promptly. However I did expect them to work on a digital camera, we tried the 3 cameras in our house but they don't work on any, so a waste of money, and could not return as had taken out of packaging. I am still not sure what the SDNC stands for but watch out if you are looking at these for digital cameras as they didn't work for us.

Already on course to be one of the year's biggest sellers, Only By the Night has sealed Kings of Leon's unlikely position as Britain's favourite American rock band. The Followill brothers (and cousin) have always been tagged as part of a southern rock tradition of family bands such as the Allmans and Lynyrd Skynyrd, a label they vehemently refuted. But the skinny lads certainly looked like a classic rock act, even as they took musical inspiration from indie contemporaries The Strokes and eighties new wave acts such as The Cure and New Order. Only By the Night is effectively a sequel to 2006's terrific Because of the Times, their third record and the first where they nailed their own sound, a striking amalgam of bluesy vocals and post-punk primitivism. In comparison Only By the Night consolidates rather than advances their style. The appropriately incoherent "Sex on Fire", already a chart topping single, is catchy but sounds lightweight next to songs like the fierce "Crawl" and the stadia-ready "Cold Desert" and "Manhattan". The dissonant, almost amateurish "17" is most out of place, though Caleb Followill still bawls it with the same passion he brings to even the clumsiest couplet. More notable are several sparse romantic pleas that often borrow licks from classic Southern soul. The yearning "I Want You" is little more than its title, but it certainly convinces, while "Revelry" and the vulnerable "Use Somebody" show signs of impending maturity. Perhaps it is telling that the majority of this album's 5 star ratings have been given by people who substitute letters for numbers and by those who are overzealous with the amount of z's they use when spelling 'Kings'. But think about it, this does make sense. The Kings of Leon, arguably for their past two albums, have pandered to the mass market. The individuality they once possessed has been lost and they have churned out an album that everyone will have heard before. I'll continue to listen to the early albums and wonder what this album could have been. Maybe two tracks worth listening to on the album.

ths is a beautiful album- who cares what their previous stuff is like- this is THIS album- i love it - its a beautiful collection of great guitar melodies and words. calebs voice is honey and they music is bliss to go with it.really ace.

Once more the Kings have produced an album of sublime quality, all killer no filler. Yes its different in style from Aha and Y&YM but just a further development of the the sound we heard on Because of the Times. This change in style has nevertheless produced an album of the highest quality - again! My greatest concern going forward is what the hell do they play in their live sets - a problem which can only be answered by playing a 3 hour set surely? A tip - listen to all four albums on shuffle on your ipod it will prove to you that the only thing that has changed is nothing!!!

Before this album I'd heard of the Kings of Leon but never really paid them much attention. I bought this album for three reasons 1) I'd heard 'Sex on Fire', 2) a friend said it was good and 3) It was cheap on Amazon. Wow, what an album. By far the best I bought in 2008 and I bet it won't be beaten in 2009. A cert for every award going next year. Can't recomend this strongly enough, it's Dave Matthews, Pink Floyd and Coldplay all in one but with ten times more energy.

Wow! what an album. This Im sad to say is my first purchase of the Kings of Leon. After hearing the popular Sex is on fire and use_somebody endlessley played on the radio I could'nt help but be hooked in. I've always been aware of the quality of this band but have never been drawn in enough to really get into them. I guess im 'the new fan'that the sucess of this record has opened then up to. Back catalouge here I come....

I cannot add much more to everyone elses comments. I recieved this off my parents for Christmas to which I puchased an 8gb Sandisk HCSD card to go with it. Both married perfectly.

The camera is compact but has a reasuring bulk to it which I like due to the size of my hands, with the ergonomics becoming good after a day or two. With this this camera you simply do not need to read the manual, it is so simply laid out. You have the main functions at the top, and then a menu on the main control that does everything else.

Pros and Cons:

Pro:

* Large clear screen
* Large pixel range
* Build Quality (made in Japan)
* HD video
* iA mode

plus many many more.

Con:

So far the only con may be that the sound isnt the best on the video, but afterall it is a consumer camera so people should not get their hopes up. Other than that it is pretty much perfect I love it.

One this I should mention is set the colours to vidid that will bring the picture out more so you have less to do on Photoshop etc.

First impressions of the TZ5 is that I am very impressed. I bought the blue one from UK digital cameras as it was being sold cheaper than on Amazon Market. I have to say that the camera really looks good in the blue colour. Moving on to the practicalities. The TZ5 does what I want, great zoom and wide angle lens. I wasn't too bothered about the HD playback but that is a bonus. The camera in comparison to the others on the market is a bit heavier, but I like that as it feels very sturdy and solid in my hand. Once I have been able to put the TZ5 through its paces outdoors, I will write another review to capture my experiences.

I've just bought this camera for a trip to India. I found it very good indeed; the pictures are very sharp and the intelligent auto is superb. My one slight disappointment was the size of the LCD; I have a Canon Ixus and felt that the LCD was too small on that camera. The LCD on the TZ5 is bigger but it's not as big as I thought it would be. For this reason I've given it four stars. I did consider the Canon G9 as an alternative and someone else on the trip had this and, to be strictly honest, although the TZ5 is a superb camera, I wish, with hindsight, that I'd bought the G9.

Three issues have constantly plagued me when taking pictures - having access to a decent zoom lens, low light performance and shaky hands! What I wanted was a camera that could address all three issues without costing an arm and a leg with the additional benefit of being presented in a compact form. Quite a few people said get a DSLR - I think the 'compact' bit eluded them.

I looked at a few super zoom cameras - the FZ28 and SX10 IS looked good but when I saw the size of the cameras without the lens barrels extended I had to discount them. As I attend a fair number of gigs, portability is essential. So I was left pondering the bewildering landscape of compact cameras.

After much research and testing, the DMC-TZ5 came out trumps for a number of reasons. The quality and speed of the 10x zoom is magnificent. The E-zoom button is fantastic in getting a maximum zoom of 10x at the touch of a button and zooming out again. One thing worth noting is that by pressing the e-zoom button again after it reaches 10x, you will get an additional optical 6.9x zoom but at the expense of being only able to take 3M photos. You can select any part of this additional zoom range but it's a bit hit and miss with the manual zoom control ring. As for the digital zoom - some things are never meant to work properly and I wouldn't even contemplate using digital zoom as the picture quality really does nose dive.

Add in image stabilisation (which is crucial in taking pictures and videos with the zoom) and the camera delivers amazing results. The colours practically leap off the screen. The flash could be stronger for indoor shots but a bit of image manipulation in Photoshop or other image editing program should brighten up those shots. The wide angle lens is a bonus. The menus are relatively straight forward but some of the button presses are a bit strange. I expected when I accessed a menu, pressing the Select button would take me into additional options - no, it threw me straight out! You eventually get used to it but to me it's a bit of an annoyance.

The 3" display screen is superb. There's a great function enabling you to take pictures by holding the camera high above you and still view the screen content.

There are a number of settings on the camera which allow you to either take out all the guess work from taking a photo or by using a manual function. The all singing, all dancing iA setting is very good for most occasions. There are a number of different presets such as night time, portrait etc. There's also a burst mode feature - okay, it isn't nowhere near the levels of a dedicated DSLR but it's there if you want it. The macro function on the camera is fantastic. Night time performance is pretty good although when you get to ISO 800 and above, well, the results aren't great.

So what about video? This isn't a camcorder so don't expect camcorder like results. The sound is recorded in mono but the picture quality is very good for a compact camera. An added bonus is that the zoom function is available when filming. One word of warning though - make you have a class 6 SDHC card in the camera because the high quality mode takes up a lot of space and has to write lots of data to the card in a small amount of time.

Portability is brilliant. Admittedly it isn't as slim as most cameras but at a push, it'll fit my trouser pocket.

Battery life isn't bad. I managed to get approximately 300 shots on a full charge.

All in all, I'm delighted with this camera despite a few shortcomings. The 10x zoom has really delivered excellent results and I think at the end of the day, I won't need anything else unless Panasonic deliver a 20x zoom version in the same body shell.

I am not going to waste time repeating the specs you can get anywhere on the internet. But this camera is superb. The only issue I have seen so far is slightly oversaturated colours when taking indoors pics but this is a tiny issue. The AI mode works effectively and I am truly happy I chose this camera over others. Yes it won't give you the pics a DSLR will in certain conditions but it gets damn close. The main reason for my review is to suggest the Lowepro Rezo 30 case, I went through every case in Jessops trying them for size. It's a snug fit and has a small compartment on the front for a spare battery and memory card.

I bought this camera for diving as the review for both the camera and case were excellent. It takes very good pictures, is compact and looks great. The flash is brilliant and I can't wait to take it underwater to see how it performs there.

I have had my camera for a little over a year and had been pretty pleased with it until for no apparent reason the screen packed up. I thought I would take it in to a local Canon sevice centre only to find out that the closest ones are over 150 miles away. Its not as if I live in the Orkneys. Very poor customer service in my opinion.

Would I recommend this camera? No. Would I buy Canon again? Most definitely not. An expensive mistake I won't be repeating.

I bought this camera 2 months ago and since then I have had the opportunity to take numerous shots in various conditions.
The results in daylight are very good as with Canon cameras. For the price you pay, this is a very good camera but unfortunately, in low light conditions, red eye becomes a major problem. It is even worse with the red eye reduction flash on, so I am not impressed with that feature. I now have to purchase a red eye removal software as the free downloadable ones are not as quick to use, but at USD30, it is worth buying otherwise all my photos are ruined because of the red eye problem with this camera.

Before this camera, I had the Casio Exilim Z700 and the Canon Ixus 5, but I never had to edit any images prior to printing due to the red eye problem, so it is a little disappointing to have this problem now with this otherwise nice little camera - I hope this will be helpful to potential buyers.

I had the Ixus 750 which was great (apart from the dreaded Error 18) but the Ixus 80 IS is fantastic. Lighter and more compact. The picture quality is excellent and the face recognition is great. I honestly thibk this a top camera for the money. Highly recommended.

Picture quality superb, ease of use excellent (still haven't needed to look at the manual), IS feature very impressive, and have many good snaps from the holiday I bought it for. Everyone has covered the plusses, and the price at Amazon is obviously superb value, so I'll focus on the minor gripes and frustrations I had.

1) Battery Life is Good, not Brilliant
I got 250-300 snaps from both the supplied Canon battery and the no-name replacement purchased separately. I also browsed shots on screen a few times and got a couple of minutes video. Each battery lasted four days of a fourteen day holiday. Foolishly, based on comments here, I did not take the charger as, although the unit is small, the cable is big and bulky. Frustratingly, the charger is small and compact and the US model has a two-pin attachment so it becomes a wall-plug. The supplied model, though, comes with a long and chunky UK power cord which undermines some of the benefits of having such a small camera and charging unit.

In summary, the battery life is good, but make sure you take the charger on holiday. This is my first new compact digital camera for five years and only my third camera so I don't know how this compares to other models but it is not as good as I had hoped. It certainly does not need charging daily though as some reviews suggest other models do.

2) Burst mode
Although there is a menu symbol indicating that several shots can be taken in quick succession in a 'burst mode', in practice this works only on timer and not when used normally. This would be a frustration for anyone wanting to take wildlife or action photos, although I accept that anyone serious about that kind of photography will be using a higher-spec camera.

3) Finish and accessories
You need a case which makes this a little less of a bargain. I bought the chocolate model and the finish is already worn on one corner. The supplied 32Mb card is, obviously, useless, but with SD cards of 2Gb and 4Gb now so cheap that is not really an issue (Note that older memory card readers will not read these SDHC cards and you'll have to use the USB connection - no big deal). With memory cards now so cheap, though, you wonder why Canon or Amazon can't just throw in a free 512Mb card at least.

OK, so I bought two of these in a rush - you can't go wrong with a SanDisk SD card can you? They are reliable, fast: I've got a load of them. However, I didn't realise that an SD card is not the same thing as an SDHC card. SDHC is a newer technology and is not readable by SD readers. So I can't use these in my camera and even if I could, I wouldn't be able to plug the card into my computer to download the files without purchasing a separate plug in reader.

So before you make the same mistake as me - please check to see whether your devices can cope with SDHC. But there again, you are reading the product reviews and are much more sensible than me - well done!

What can I say, Nice Card works well in my Garmin Nuvi 760.

I see some bad reviews on SDHD cards this is because it is a new format, not all SD Card readers can see SD HD, even though they are physically identical. This includes new devices being sold here, read the device instructions / specifications first then place your order to make sure it will support the card, and don't be too surprised if you have an existing bit of kit that won't see it. If you have any doubts buy a 2Gb SD card as most SDHD readers are backwards compatible and will see it.

In the case of Garmin check out the website FAQ this is the only place where it says max size is 4GB SDHD.

Timex Women's Classic Cavatina Expansion Watch T21882: I returned the watch, since I wanted a white watch face with real numbers. The face was a pearl rather than a flat white. The pearl background distorted the view of the numbers, since it reflected the light hitting the face of the watch. I have had a Timex watch exactly like this one but with a flat white background on the face, so that is what I expected. From the picture on the website it was impossible to see that the face was not what I wanted. I have a small wrist and do not want a big watch, so the size is good. And, I do not want to fight with putting the watch on my wrist, so the expansion band is perfect. If your eyesight is better than mine, the watch may be what you want.

This is a lovely watch. The expandable band is for a not large wrist. It is tight on me and tends to pinch, unfortunately. It was small for my friend too, so we're waiting for a friend with a smaller wrist to give it to. I haven't had the best of luck with Timex warranty; they want you to send in the watch at your expense when there is a factory defect. This is why I gave it three stars instead of four. It is very pretty.

This is a 4 star product, not 5, because it's not quite perfect. One or two things need to be sorted out a bit if they make a third generation.

There are a lot of plus points though. It feels great, and looks even better. One of the improvements with this version of the iPod Touch is to improve how it feels in your hand with the contoured edge, and this makes the iPod Touch much better. The interface is so simple to use; unless you're 80 years old or have never used anything electrical in your life you can learn how to operate it within a few minutes.

Music, video and photos can all be stored. 8GB is enough space for me personally, and unless you have several thousand songs or you want to buy a few series' of a TV programme, it will be fine for you too. Watching videos on a 3.5 inch screen is better than it sounds; The screen is a good size, and if it were any bigger the iPod Touch would be too big in size. Music plays fine; I use the standard earphones and they work adequately. I can't comment on any other ones, but I'm sure they would improve the sound quality (but trust me, it's fine already).

Internet browsing is a very simple thing to do. One of the worries I had when I bought my iPod Touch was that I wouldn't be able to connect it to my wireless internet at home. Fortunately, this was an incredibly easy thing to do, and it took around 30 seconds. Browsing the internet is easy to do; Tapping the screen zooms in on something, so it's much easier to read things on the page you're browsing. The iPod Touch also comes with a button linking you to Youtube on the main page, which is just like watching videos on your computer. Email browsing is also a very useful thing to do, it's one of the things I use my iPod Touch for most. It allows you to access your Google mail, hotmail, yahoo mail or any other mail, and stores your password, so you don't have to login each time you turn on your iPod Touch.

Applications are also a great thing to have. This is what separates the Touch from the Nano or the Shuffle; With the App Store (which is built into the iPod Touch), you can download thousands of applications, from games to play or books to read. Something for everyone, with most of them being free.

Like I said earlier, I'm afraid I can't give this 5 stars. I'd like to, but I can't. Accessing the internet requires a connection, and unless you happen to find an unprotected connection somewhere you'll often find yourself using the internet mainly at home. There isn't a camera built in (no huge problem, but a 3 or even 4 MP camera would made such a huge difference). Oh, and iTunes is rather expensive in download films or TV Series'. You'd have to use iTunes, because, unless you're a very clever computery person, there's no way to get your DVD onto your iPod Touch. Which is a shame.

So, 4 stars out of 5. Great music, size, videos, photos, internet, apps. But, no camera, and you can't always get an internet connection everywhere you go. If you had the 1st generation, I'd think carefully about upgrading, although if you have the cash it'd be worth it. If you're looking for an iPod or any music player, I recommend this product.

I have waited eagerly for this iPod. The base model is practically identical apart from a few changes. A speaker allows for quiet sound to be played from the base of the iPod which is ideal for listening on the bus, with some friends but, the bass is very scratchy on loud output, but nice to see the inclusion of it. The unit, now has a curved back which Apple claims "is easier too hold", but I have no opinion on it myself. The addition of a side volume control is good as well. Other addition includes a Nike+ receiver built in for avid runners, and a new software update, with the update of Genius software. This allows you to choose a song, and for the iPod to choose up to 100 songs from your iPod to create play-lists, quickly and easily.
The interface comes to life when in a Wi-Fi zone, allowing the maximum utility of the player. Connection to free internet allows YouTube, email, the latest live updates of weather and stocks, as well as google map function. The app store allows free application downloads, others have to paid for however. With the standard music and video browsing available, easy to access your music and videos - expectable with iPods.
However, I feel that the 2nd gen lacks a certain something to make it stand out in a crowd like the 1st gen did. I don't know what I would like to see, I just feel the unit could include another 'blow your socks off' feature

I was extremely impressed with the new ipod touch (having upgraded from a 3rd gen ipod) until I heard the sound quality on the thing! It is markedly worse than any other mp3 player I've ever listened to, also the volume is fairly soft (but I think that's more to do with the EU directive than anything else).

The interface, battery life, internet access, youtube... basically everything else is top notch, nothing else can compare to it. So if you're looking for an overall multimedia device then get the ipod touch, but if you pride yourself as an audiophile, please test it out in the apple store first before buying.

Ordered this TV midday Wednesday, paid for first class delivery, and received it Friday mid-morning - excellent. Ordered it to replace a 32" Panasonic that had died after a few months - returned that to where I bought it, and decided to buy the Sony (I know, should have bought one originally!). Not disappointed.
With the Auto set-up, it was good to go in a couple of minutes, and the picture quality is great.
For a TV in this price range, it is far too easy to spend hours (wasted) looking through all the options. If your looking for all the 'whistles and bells', then maybe so - if not, save your time, and buy a quality TV, that if past experience of Sony is anything to go by, will last an age, and give a great picture.

Lets put the two negative reviews into perspective, there were 49 reviews, so far, 40 gave it 5 stars which suggests to me that this is a fantastic LCD. In relation to the comment concerning the connection of a optical cable, I run mine from my sky HD box to my Sony Dav 260 which gives me 5.1 cinema sound in an instant,I then reduce the volume on my tv to zero, and I have a great sound and excellent picture with Sky premier, try it and you will be impressed.

This is my first LCD TV. To be frank I have never seen such a clear picture quality and contrast in my life.

I was really thrilled when I saw the BBC new channel, movie channels on my new TV. Picture was crystal clear and voice is amazing. I also have 5.1 channel ouput amplifier, which makes it more amazing.

I have a sony laptop, and it works very well this tv. Resolution of laptop works very well with TV. I get the complete full screen monitor view on the TV. It is really amazing.

Bought this to replace ageing 26inch crt for elderly aunt. might not have all the gizmos the technical folk seem to want but people have to decide what they really want. For my aunt its a sure fire winner. went for the 32inch not 26inch despite 11 foot square room and it was the right decision -not too big at all. aunt was worried about the black being too shiny but a visit to local reassured her. could have bought cheaper from another manufacturer - but not much and sony reputation carried the day. only have freeview via existing aerial and the sony tuner is coping fine with our signal(bought the HDX890 sony dvd recorder as well which copes even better) but if signal NOT good enough then new aerial maybe needed - dont blame the TV!! i checked signal using another sony tv i have anyway. so aerial cost avoided because moving soon and picture will get even better!! amazon delivery excellent again.

Ordered on Sunday, delivered by Wednesday, unpacked and connected up, and running in about 10 mins. Player updated its self once set up to my Internet connection. Set it up to be connected to use BD Live. However I can't see the point as is like poor quality dial up Internet. I may be missing somthing, can't see what though! Used a standard 1Gb memory stick, which sticks out the back by about 2", but as the player is shorter than my Sky HD it is OK. Picture quality is Excellent on my Toshiba WLT68 and connected through its Optical link to my STR-K880 amp. Upscale is great too. Blu-Ray start up is not lightning fast. I think that is common to all inital starts with Blu-Ray. Turning off the power save takes a few seconds off. Free disks arrived 7 days later. Overhaul good value and very pleased with it. Worth making sure that you set the audio output to the correct settings for your amp as it defaults to PCM48 as standard.

I purchased the Sony BDPS350 Blu-ray Disk Player 1080p on October 30 together with the "What Hi-Fi" product of the year Sony KDL-40W4500 - 40" Widescreen 100hz / 1080P Full HD Bravia LCD TV. On October 31, I registered both products on-line, using the accompanying disk to register the Blu-ray player. When I completed the Sony on-line survey, as required by the prevailing BDPS350 product promotion, a message was displayed saying that I would receive my 4 free Blu-ray disks within 28 days.
The Sony website stated that if the disks didn't arrive after 28 days they would have to be informed within the next 7 days, "....otherwise, the disks will be deemed to have been accepted as delivered."
The discs, surprise surprise, didn't arrive within the designated time period.
I tried to follow Sony's instructions by using the `Enquiry' facility on their website, but having entered the details/comments I was directed, not to a `Submit' button but, to a screen for entering details such as email address etc.. I entered the required details but, on submission, a message was displayed which stated that my email address (from product registration?) was already on file and refused to process it. Try as I might I couldn't submit my problem/enquiry on-line.
On Monday December 1st, I rang the Sony support line, as listed on their website.
A young lady informed me (incorrectly) that it was 28 `working' days and that I should wait and ring again if they didn't arrive by the end of the week. She asked me for my purchase details and gave me a reference number. I noticed later that the promotion conditions on the Sony website state "9. If you have not received any discs within 28 days of registering the product...". No mention of `working' days.
I rang the Sony Support line again on Friday December 5th and spoke to a young man.
I quoted my reference number and asked if he could check the status of my `free' discs. Needless to say, he went through the usual spiel about the high take-up of the offer and how this was delaying shipments etc. etc. He again asked for my contact details and promised that `they' would look into it and contact me early (Tuesday) next week.
Here we are at the end of another week - no contact and no trace of the disks.
I'd like to be able to say something positive (or negative) about the BDPS350 Blu-ray Disk Player, but having limited experience of using it I'll defer my comments....

Firstly may I congratulate Amazon on a fast delivery and unbeatable price.

I don't normally write reviews but thought in this case would make an exception. After being a loser in the HD DVD market (bought an hd drive to go with my X Box 360) I took a lot of time looking into the blu ray market. Thanks in part to the reviews left on this site I settled for the Sony BD 350.
Although the other reviews describe the player overall I was mainly interested in one thing, picture quality. When I loaded my first blu ray film, which was fast enough a load time for me, I was literally blown away by the jaw dropping picture quality, and this is from someone who already has hd dvd and Sky hd. These must output in a lower format and although my Samsung tv isn't 1080p and only HD ready it still output at 1080i which is a fantastic improvement. I can not see any reason to buy a higher spec model at a dearer price if like me you mainly want a sharper more colourful picture, also you will not find anywhere cheaper than Amazon even by bidding on Ebay.
Incidentally the player is slimline (goes well underneath my Sky hd box), is as quiet as a mouse, and the remote is user friendly. So look no furthar and buy one of these now at Amazon.
If you don't want to go out and buy a load of blu ray films then try Lovefilm.com. They have a large selection of blu ray films to rent, with monthly package deals to suit all and no contract, also if you enter promotional code RAFELF96 you can have 30 days free instead of the standard 14. Enjoy

I bought this frame as a gift and I have to say it is fantastic for the price. I am always dubious about the really cheap frames, and the Kodak name settled it for me.

The touch frame, and the looks are superb and I really enjoyed watching pictures on the frame.

Only criticisms? Resolution can sometimes be a bit unclear if I am being harsh and the menus are not the most intuitive and can be a bit slow in responding to the touch.

My advice would be to buy an SD card to keep with the frame and load pictures onto rather than use the one in your camera. For 2 makes up for the lack of internal memory and this price you can't complain.

From the reviews of many photo frames in this price range I wasn't expecting such a good display quality - especially as my mobile phone has 240x320 resolution in a display only 1.8" in size.

Initially I loaded images pre-sized at 480x234 and they were disappointing. Then I put some un-edited images on direct from a camera and some were poor and some were very sharp. I experimented and found that the software on the frame will re-sample images for display and it does a very good job. I got very good results with images at 960x468 (twice the display dimensions) and the results are impressive. It obviously re-samples and uses anti-aliasing to give smooth edges.

I then created some JPG images of my own (not photos) at the same resolution and they got rescaled slightly. After more experimenting, I set the DPI in the file to be 72x72 and the photo frame displayed my image correctly. I suspect it reads a lot of the photo data from the EXIF headers and will do a good job (in most cases) at displaying the image in the right proportions.

I have only tried images resized to fit the, slightly unconventional, size of the display. This does mean cropping out the middle of the image. The frame does allow the image to be stretched/cropped/scaled but I prefer to have control of what it displays.

The colour reproduction is excellent. It matches my LCD monitor but is slightly more yellow than my CRT - I suspect that my CRT is wrong.

On top of the great image quality, the ease of use made this a winner for me. The touch controls are so easy to use and no chance of a lost remote control!
The slide show has timings from 3 seconds to 1hour. There is also an on/off time - i.e. turn on at 8am and off at 7pm. It is mains only - no battery (but I'm not sure if any other are anyway).

I would recommend this.

Like one of the other reviewers I bought this as a Christmas gift and was confused by the huge amount of Digital Photo Frames on the market. In the end, based on mostly positive reviews whereever I could find them, I went for Kodak's P720 and I can only highly recommend it. I wanted an inexpensive gadget only to loop through a slide show of images - I wasn't interested in sound or video, so this was ideal. I read a negative review saying when you view faces close up they have no definition but I don't agree - as long as your picture is of a decent enough size then this gadget copes extremely well. I'm really pleased with the way the images are shown, even shocked at the quality - the backlighting is lovely and the colours are very true. The interface is very intuitive but don't try pressing the screen like I did at first, as its not touch screen, its activated by touching the frame. The only slightly negative point I have to make about this, is I expected to be able to copy images from my USB thumb drive/SD card onto the device itself. Maybe it was foolish of me, but I did think there was a little bit of internal storage which would hold the images to display. I was wrong - you need to leave your USB/card permanently connected to the device in order to show the images. I would recommend buying a USB drive as a gift to go with this - even if its just a small capacity one. For USB drives also, this can't look inside directory structures, so save all the images you need to display in the root of the drive.

this is my first purchase of a digital picture frame, a xmas gift, and i was a bit swamped by all of the products available. from helpful customer reviews i narrowed it down to either kodak or phillips, and the price cut and emphasis on ease of use clinched it. the quality seems excellent to me, the touch border operations will be a doddle for doting grandparent to use, true, no remote is better in this case. the software included makes everything so easy, i cannot emphasise the ease of use enough. i have nearly 500 photos on a 2gb card, its a wonderful present!

The game improves on the last game in almost every way. The graphics are better. The story line better online better. It continues the story of Hake and now chimeras AI is brutal (on hard difficulty anyway) Initially i was impressed but by not that much. After the first hour though thinghs kick in and the game really starts to gain momentum.
Basically buy it.

This game is clearly the best fps game out there. The graphics are amazing with a good storyline albeit a strange ending. The weapons are class and i found the game to be harder even on the normal setting compared to other games.
I say this because i found cod waw very disapointing manily due to the fact that there was no obvious leep from cod 4 to it. I also hated the guns which were lame..
get it and u wont be disapointed

Having had such high expectations for Resistance 2, I didn't know if Resistance 2 would live up to them, how wrong was I. This is such a great game with so many high points.

The story:

I won't spoil the story, but the missions are incredible, and the story is very interesting with great cinematics in between the missions. Also at the end of a lot of missions there are big boss battles.

Online:

There are two parts to the online, Competitive and co-operative. Competitive is playing team-deathmatch, deathmatch, core control (basically capture the flag but with a ball instead of a flag) and skirmish (team split into groups of 5 and each group has a different objective, such as defend or capture a post, or protect and escort a member of the squad). Co-operative is where you do extra missions in groups of up to 8 players. There are lots of these missions with different objectives in them.

Resistance 2 vs COD WAW

I do not own COD WAW, even though I have COD4 and it is a fantastic game, but CODWAW and COD4 aren't very different apart from the time, maps and guns, not many new features to the new COD. Whereas Resistance 2 has left me more hooked on it then I was on COD4.

As like in the first Resistance you customize your own human and chimeran soldiers. Also there are berserks to be unlocked as you go up the ranks. Berserks are special powers that you get when you fill you're berserk bar. Berserks include invisibility, ironheart, Chimeran rage, and many more.

Overall this is a brilliant game which you must buy, by far the best shooter out this year. 95%.

first off, the graphics are incredable, so many times i found myself goin "woahh" because of how good they are.
secondly, the gameplay is as fun as ever, ploughing through chimera is imensley fun and the difficulty is perfect, not to easy the you just run through the levels without any tactics, but not so hard that your pinned down all the time.
the multiplayer is great aswell, people complain that the co-op missions are the same as single player campaign, but this is equally as fun, the way that you pick from one of three classes adds real tactics to the game, as you need a balanced team, who works together the suceed.
if you liked the 1st one buy it
if you didnt like the first one i still recomend it

you can in fact drag and drop. to do this, when on the ipod sync screen in itunes, click the box 'enable disk use', then you can access the ipod as if it is any other usb drive through the desktop on a mac or 'my computer' on a pc.

I bought this iPod to replace a broken 4GB nano which i also had too much music for. I was stuck between this model and a 16Gb new nano.In the end i decided on this for several reasons. Firstly it has a huge hard drive 120Gb will let you put pretty much everything you own there. I have 1800 songs, about 20 dvds and serveral other music videos and youtude downloads. It still has 88GBs left. Also it is better value for money than the nano. This costs abbout 20 more than a 16GB Nano and gives you just under 10x the storage space. If you want a iPod more as a functional item rather than a fashion accessory then buy one of these. Otherwise buy a nano they are also very good and well put together bits of kit as are all iPods. This is my 4th and i have played the hell out of every one and they still last for a long time.

I originally had a Zune from the US but it died suddenly within a few months and it cannot be replaced from the UK. Therefore, this Apple product avoider went against every thing she had every said and got a new classic. The player itself has been just what I needed to keep sane/deal with my 4 hour commute to work every day. It plays mp4, has my music and playlists, got the photos and most importantly handles all of my podcasts. Basically it does what it needs to and more - it can handle importing microsoft outlook (but have heard a lot of other people have issues with this). Haven't yet figured out the notes but I have only had it for 2 weeks.
My gripe is with the software. I wish I could go back to using the Zune software ...
Yes, there is much more content available on itunes but it is not as an intuitive programme as others I have used (but I am a big lover of coverflow) and it cannot handle audiobooks, even though it clearly puts forward that it can. On the player it lists all audio books in a/z of the individual chapter titles of ALL audiobooks. This is annoying a lot of people out there in cyber space. So far I have managed to get round it by putting each audio cd/story into its own playlist - tedious. A smaller gripe is that I can't get my tv shows to list their episode number on the player which can get very confusing if you are working through an entire season over a number of sessions. However, this last issue could be down to me not sorting them right, I am still learning. I have been informed by a mac user that the software works a lot better for him but I have yet to see this in practice.
Overall, I'm glad I got it and know that if it goes wrong I can get it sorted under its 1 year warranty unlike its superior (in my opinion) relative the zune.
PS. You will need to put aside time to copy and paste the majority of your album covers into itunes, if you are concerned by such things and have a large music collection it is a bit of a headache but I finished mine after a week and a half, nor will I forget the 30 hours it took to import my collection of 5.5 thousand tracks into itunes. I would recommend downloading itunes software before you ipod arrives.

Bought this as an additional unit to the Ipod Classic 80GB. The new Ipod Classic 120GB is a delight to use and behold. I only really listen to music and did not purchase this for it's other capabilities however as a music player I find it incredibly user friendly and the high capacity is second to none, despite the fact that it comes out of the box at 111GB (not unusual I am led to believe, but unacceptable when it comes to advertising hence the one star reduction).

...what else can I say?? - Canon does it again!! - I am a working professional photographer and have purchased this as a backup to my EOS 1DS Mk3 and all I can say is that it is the perfect combination. At 21 megapixels and stunning HD video performance, plus the DIGIC 4 processor, this camera just stands out from the rest of the competition. I watch all the others (Nikon, Hasselblad etc.,) shaking in their shoes and trying furiously to justify the ridiculous price tags they put on their puny competition, but in the REAL world, these cameras are portable, versatile and produce incredible imagery in conjunction with the right operators and software. Canon leads the world in this technology and proves it once again with this gem of a camera.

I purchased a YSP 600 as a compromise between the standard TV speakers and speakers all around the room (and hence the bit that nobody mentions- all the cabling!). In fact I've found the unit to barely be a compromise at all- it definitely sounds better than the TV and in fact isn't far removed from a room full of speakers. The projector itself is quite small- narrower than our TV. Placed on the shelf beneath, it doesn't draw attention to itself and looks neat and tidy. Setup was easy- place the projector where you want it and attach the little microphone and place it where you want to sit. Once you have done this, you start the auto setup program and the projector makes some strange noises (the cat wasn't impressed!) and after a few minutes it is all set up and ready to go.
The best bit about the unit is that you really do get sound behind you from a box in front of you- films with lots of effects happen around you rather than just in front. Even normal TV from our Sky box has some decent surround effects. There are various settings for directing sound at one point or just working in front of you but the normal setting works well enough most of the time. I am really happy with my decision and would encourage anybody looking for a mess free surround system to have a look at this box of tricks.

This clock is great. Its updated by satelite so no changing the time in spring and autumn or when you have a power cut. The numbers on the ceiling are clear and bright, but not dazzling enough to distract you. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because the projector is not adjustable so you can either have it upside down (??) or straight up. You cant see the numbers in the daylight on the ceiling but you can if the curtains are closed.

I love it, i never have to lift my head to check the time again. Even my husband who laughed at me when i got it is converted.

My cheap Dell projector( less than a year old ) needed a new bulb. Cheapest I could find was 233! This is better than the Dell, is guarenteed to work for 3years and is still cheaper. Someone is being ripped off somewhere.

Firstly thanks to another Amazon reviewer ("a software user") who pointed out the need to ensure you are aware of the differences in digital video connections i.e. the different ports on your PC / Graphics card. I would like to 2nd this and encourage all to know what they need as I recently bought a Samsung SyncMaster940BW 19 inch Widescreen LCD (not bought from Amazon, although I would give this monitor 95% a good quality unit / image) and Samsung supplied a DVI-I cable, which when connected to my NVIDIA graphics card gave an error; it needed the DVI-D Belkin cable that I had bought from Amazon.

I always buy Belkin cables as my employer uses them and personally they are a quality manufacturer who you can rely on to deliver good signals / data / images / etc.

I like this cable. I like the digital image that I see through my monitor but I do not like that it is 3M. I would like a 1M option, which is my only concern.

Are you looking for a DVI-D to DVI-D monitor cable, buy this one.

I brought this cable out of hope that it would help the awful display problems I was having with my TFT monitor. But the difference is amazing - not only has it solved the problems I had but the display is now much brighter, colours more stunning. I cant believe it's the same TFT screen. Well worth the money -only wish I had brought one earlier.

I recently got a 19" flat panel Philips TFT monitor. I expected it to be much easier on my eyes when surfing the net and working with MS Office documents. It wasn't. It was actually worse than my old 17" CRT. This was due to fonts all appearing out of focus.

Despite trying different screen resolutions, refresh rates, DPI and font smoothing settings, I was still very unhappy with the display. This cable sorted everything out for me.

After much research into what cable would connect between my video card (an nVidia 5950) and the monitor, I selected this Belkin cable. You have to be very careful in your research as there are a number of DVI standards at the moment (DVI-D, DVI-I DVI-A, dual link, single link etc.) and you *must* get the correct cable for it to work.

Once I received my cable it installed in less than 1 minute. Having booted up my PC, I was amazed at the colour quality on my desktop picture. The issue I had with fonts was completely gone and browsing the net and all office work is now a pleasure. I have also noticed a small difference in gameplay with better graphics quality.

I thoroughly recommend this cable. It has made me completely change my views about how good TFT monitors are compared with CRTs.

I didn't expect too much from this projector at the price, however, I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality and brightness of images. I have a x-box 360 connected via a d-sub (VGA) connection and the pictures are extremely detailed and very sharp with no blocking, both games & DVD look superb at approx. 72".
If you want to get the best out of this unit and only have a stand-a-lone DVD player, then purchase a scart to VGA adapter cable (available on Amazon)to take advantage of the higher refresh retes available via the D-Sub input(You will see a marked improvement over the composite connection).

I had to purchase a VGA switching unit to allow connection of both my x-box 360 and PC via the sole VGA input on the projector. But apart from the inconvenience of switching between the two inputs, I'm extremely happy with the purchase of this unit and would recommend this projector to anyone who doesn't have HDMI or 1080P equipment like myself. All in all a brilliant projector at this price point.

Well what can i say like many who have bought this i was a bit sceptical at first but took the plunge based on other reviews and can honestly say so far so good ive hooked up my sky+ box via svideo cable and this gives a bright colourful image,i am just using a plain white blind from wilkinson and it does a great job giving me a 80"image from 10ft,the only reason i havent gave it 5 stars is i dont now how to rig up my dvd player to it yet but i can watch dvds via the pc but i dont have 5.1 channel from my pc,probably need an amp maybe not maybe im just doing something wrong so if anyone can shed light on this matter please post up.I wouldhighly recommend this pj to anyone on a budget.Update,i figured out how to play a dvd player through it using video cable and scart adapter i could nt belivie the answer to my question was looking right at me,image quality is superb so ill give it 5 stars now.

Best value for money if you just want to watch movies/dvds or play games. Very light, small and bright picture. Not recommended for using it to work as a gigantic screen for working on the computer, because the text gets fuzzy when not in native resolution.

But why is this keeping getting more expensive? The first time I saw it on here it was 235, bought it for 245 and now it's 275???

I was looking for a cheapish projector and came across this, after reading the reviews i can honestly say it is brilliant, it's quite easy to set up, just plug it in and as soon as you put another input in it, it will automatically work for example i plugged in my xbox 360 using a vga cable and it came out clear as day. Of course you have to work around the fact that you have to move it back to increase the image size but when its 240, it's great value for money|!

The product let me share my xbox and pc on one monitor which was excellent but sadly there was ghosting present when trying to use it which reduces the quality of the image quite substantially. If you can get over this problem then it will suit your purposes perfectly.

I had been advised by a PC World Tech Guy that what I wanted to do was not possible. I wanted to share the video output from my PC with the existing TFT monitor and my LCD TV.

I bought this product and a 3m VGA lead from Belkin (both through Amazon). They arrived together a couple of days later. I turned off the PC and the TV, connected the VGA splitter to the PC VGA output, the 3m cable from the splitter to the TV and the existing VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA splitter. Turned on computer, monitor and PC and it all worked straight away. The results are fine with no flickering, shadows or any bad effects at all.

Hope this helps others who have been advised that it is not possible.

I bought this product so that I could connect my XBOX 360 and PC to my LCD TVs VGA socket. There are plenty of switcher boxes on the market, but other reviewers complained of ghosting; so I decided to go for the cheapest option and see the results. It works a treat! Yes, there is some ghosting on the PC image, but a few contrast and brightness adjustments minimized this. The XBOX image looks perfect...I couldn't tell any difference! Highly recommended for a budget option
